It is collected after the initial 24-hour period, then processed to remove fat and standardized to provide a consistent level of immune-supporting compounds, including 40% IgG.
Colostrum contains a variety of immunoglobulins—IgG, IgA, IgE, IgD, and IgM—each contributing in unique ways to overall immune function. IgG is present in the highest amount.
